The Project

When it was time to upgrade the dish-washing operations at French Lick Casino & West Baden Resort, a smart, future-focused investment was made. The old conveyor dishmachine was replaced with a state-of-the-art flight-type system — the Hobart FT1000ERBD — delivering far greater capacity, better ergonomics, improved workflow, and significant energy savings.

The Results

  • Much higher throughput & capacity — The new Hobart machine dramatically increased the volume of dishes handled compared with the previous conveyor system.
  • Improved kitchen workflow & staff ergonomics — The upgrade simplified dishroom operations, reducing the number of dish racks needed and easing manual labor.
  • Lower energy use & long-term cost savings — With ventless energy recovery and automatic soil removal, the new system reduced energy consumption while cutting labor costs.
  • More efficient ware-washing operations overall — Overall, the project optimized the dish-washing process and allowed the resort to run more smoothly — benefiting both staff and guests.
